France's president Macron is really showing off, eh

. Like, they're sending troops to the Arctic for "exercises" and it's all about maintaining their interests and sovereignty in the region... meanwhile, we're still struggling with our own environmental issues here at home

I'm not sure why France feels the need to make a big show of this, but hey, if they want to waste resources on military exercises, that's their problem

I'm all for maintaining France's interests, but can't they just do it in a more...diplomatic way? I mean, we're living in a world where climate change is a real issue, and they're over here sending troops to the Arctic?

It just doesn't add up, you know?
